Apple's latest OS deserves some new mobile hardware, right?
As expected, Apple refreshed its Apple MacBook Pro models to take advantage of the new OS X 10.9 Mavericks operating system. Like the 2013 versions of both the 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air released in June, the 2013 MacBook Pro models get Intel's 4th-gen Core i-series of powerful yet power-saving mobile processors.

For the 13.3-inch model, now starting at $1,299, the laptop is thinner and lighter than its predecessor: 3.46 pounds and 0.71 inch thick. The entry configuration features a 4th-gen dual-core Intel Core i5 2.4GHz processor, 128GB SSD, 4GB of memory, and Intel Iris graphics.
The 15.4-inch version will be available for $1,999. At that price it's running on a 4th-gen quad-core Intel Core i7 2.0GHz processor, 8GB of memory, 256GB SSD, and Iris Pro graphics.
Other hardware updates include faster 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Thunderbolt 2.

Apple claims the new hardware and OS combined will be able to push battery life up to 9 hours for the 13-inch, while the 15-inch can run for up to 8 hours.
